Hi!  My name is Brenda.  I am a follower of Jesus Christ and married to my Prince Charming.  I have been an active mom with children in my home (my own children) for 36-years.  That’s right, THIRTY-SIX YEARS.  How is that possible, you ask?  Well, I had my first when I was 20 and my last when I was 36.  Then, at the age of 48 with one in middle school and one in high school, we adopted our 2-year old granddaughter.  She is now 10, the only one left at home under the age of 22,  and we home school.  I am currently 56-years old with two other grandchildren who live out of state.  I was a working mom while raising my first two (girls) and a stay-at-home mom while raising my second two (boys).  I have a boat load of experience, and still have days when I feel like I have no idea what I’m doing and I want to run away.

The name of this blog comes from the unrealistic expectation so many of us moms have of being Super Mom.  The mom who runs her household with ease and efficiency, raises her kids with patience and wisdom, keeps her husband happy, and still has time to pursue her own interests and hobbies while looking perfectly put-together (I was laughing before I even finished that sentence).  My hope here is to encourage young moms to enjoy the journey and not major on the minors.  I would like this blog to be a place where I can share my daily life as a seasoned veteran still trying to get it right, and hear from other moms who share some of the same struggles.  I would like it to be a place where ideas, encouragement, and laughter get shared and where we can all come to realize that perfection is the enemy and joy can be found in the smallest things.  So welcome!  Grab a cuppa or a lovely beverage, and take a few minutes to be (hopefully) blessed and maybe BE a blessing if you have something to share.

In His love,  Brenda 😊💕

P.S.:  This picture is me on a good day.  😉
