A Little More About Me

I shared a lot about myself on the “Welcome” page.  Some things I didn’t mention are my hobbies.  When I have the time, or can incorporate them into homeschool, I enjoy photography, cooking/baking, hiking when the weather’s nice, swimming, dancing, crochet, reading, writing, gardening, travel, and doing just about anything with my sweet hubby and awesome kids.  I used to have a horse and loves horses in general.  I keep hoping to have one again some day.  I also LOVE the beach.  I was a beach bum/body surfer in Huntington Beach, California in a former life.  California is my home state, but I currently reside in Central Texas (that’s a whole other story).  I love life in general; trying new things, seeing new places, meeting new people.  I have a lot of big ideas and not nearly enough time to put them all into action.  I have way too many Pinterest boards and even more pins.  I love chocolate and quesadillas.  Whole Foods is another happy place, especially the flagship store in Austin!  I’m a bit of a foodie.  One of my favorite things to do is to cook with my husband.  We like to take a trip to the store, find what looks good, then go home and cook.  Those are fun times!  Let’s see, what else?  I am the oldest of six.  My baby sister is 9-years younger than me and we’re BFFs.  The rest of our siblings don’t talk to us much (too much drama for this mama).  My “sister from another mister” is 12-years younger than me and we’ve been friends since our boys were babies.  We live in separate states now, but see each other as often as we can for being 10-12 hours apart.  I have a passion for God’s Word and the study of it and have actually written a Bible study and a couple of devotions (you can learn more about that and my testimony here).  My favorite Bible teachers are Kay Arthur and Beth Moore.  I love to laugh and adore my husband because he makes me laugh constantly.  I’ve had more than one person look at me and say, “You laugh a lot.”  I love that!

Okay.  I think I’ve bored you enough for now.  At least you have some idea of what kind of crazy person’s stuff you’re reading.  😉😂 (I also love emojis!)
